Built in 1269 for Eleanor De Monfort, sister to Henry III, this Embleton holiday cottage offers a unique holiday experience where the best of modern contemporary mixes with original beams and inglenook fireplaces.

Embleton village is a great base from which to explore the local beaches and castles, all situated in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Spitalford is within easy distance of Alnwick with its castle and the new Alnwick Garden, while only two miles south is the wonderful garden and tearoom of Howick Hall. The picturesque fishing village of Seahouses lies seven miles to the north where you can catch a boat to visit the Farne islands, famous for their puffins and seals.

For the more adventurous, Spitalford is seven miles from Alnmouth station where you can take the train to Edinburgh or Newcastle.
